Brian, quince in general seem to be self fertile. They are not like apples or pears. I think you would be pretty safe to grow just one. You could always graft another clone onto a branch if you have difficulty getting fruit.

Yes they are. I had a friend send me seed from china before. The largest varieties come from Baoshan prefecture, Yunnan province China.
