Hot 'nuff fer yuh in Oz?

It's just after 11:00 p.m. in California, and as I look at all the locations with temps in the 40's, I couldn't help but notice the marker with Melbourne at 103F. Maybe we could lay some really long undersea pipes and make a huge air exchanger so we could modify each other's weather. 103 almost sounds good at this time of the year.

cold here

Steve,

I'm at the same latitude as Melbourne, 2000kms east... and its cold. We've had hard rain, cold southerly winds and temps about 10c colder than average. Its like winter. Miserable. Last week it was warm (many parts of town hit 38C). Crazy weather.

extremely hot here

Yes, it has been extremely hot here. I am about 100km east of Melbourne and it is a real struggle to keep water up to the plants.

:D

Yeah it's a bit warm for moving houses!: ), not too bad though for plants because I saw it comming and watered them the day before it got hot, still we only had about 36-38c here, there was cloud cover all day so it was extreme humidity, pretty hot today too, and tomorrow and again etc etc, it's getting close to that cook your brain time of year, the next 4 months are the real growing season, if you can somehow manage to keep the ground wet

Hot, Humid

Yes, this hot and humid weather is a nice break from the usual stinking hot and bone dry. Can't wait for summer to get into full swing :), (4-5 days in a row of 42-48C, )
Someone pinched my young mulberry tree last night, (Happy New Year you B*stard), It's hard to keep water up to a plant when someone is running off down the street with it. :)
