Bonsai - castanospermum (Chestnut tree?)

Bonsai - castanospermum (Chestnut tree?)

Hi there. Would anyone know if it would be possible to grow a bonzai from a castanospermum Australe. I have a potted one which I am growing and which is growing extremely well. Before I remove her to the outside, I was curious if i could cut off a tiwg and try and grow another plant from her - except reduce that cutting to a bonzai plant?

cutting

If you get the cutting to root, then you can turn it into a bonzai tree.

I don't know if it is able to root or not, but a technique that sometimes works for rotting any kid of tree is slitting where you want to cut it then wrap it around with soil and ceran wrap, so that nutrients can still flow into the branch, and then it would have a higher chance of rooting that way.
