Eryngium.......

Eryngium.......

Anyone have experience growing these cloud forest natives of Brazil? They are interesting and bromeliad-esque. I just purchased some online. They are related to the common sea hollies in US, but appear to be much more interesting and are certainly subtropical.

recao/ culantro

I grow Eryngium foetidum although I don't know where it's native to, it's used in Puerto Rican cuisine as a key ingredient of sofrito. It tastes alot like cilantro. I actually found plants for sale at a local nursery under the common name of Mexican Cilantro.
