Mine are about the size of a green Apple. Hopefully they will ready in a month or two.

all of my sugar apples are gone and i only have one Gefner atemoya left on the plant waiting on it to rippen. the first fruit to rippen on it was one that i used red sugar apple pollen to pollinate it just not sure where i am going to put 50 seedlings to grow out for the 2 year minimum time to get fruit so i have not planted them yet. Gefner is my second favorite Atemoya but i have nto been able to get an actual 48-26 Atemoya. i have seen seedling 48 -26 for sale but that just means the 48-26 was the parent plant there is no telling what the fruit will be. i do have a few seedlings i got the seeds from a guy in hopes of getting scion pieces from a real 48-26 however he moved and the tree was cut down by the new owners to make way for a garage.if nothing else from the seedlings i will get a good sugar apple canot very well call it a 48-26 course there is a slight chance i may get a fruit that resembles cherimoya in looks and quality but dought if it is more cherimoya in the seedlings genes that it will produce in florida i have two cherimoya seedlings i may graft pieces of that to one of my sugar apples or maybe my gefner atemoya in hopes that it will make the cherimoya produce here

Mikeyinfla,
How was the taste of the Gefner compared to the Sugar Apples?

Gefener is my second favorite annona the first is the 48-26 atemoya. there is defenately nothing wrong with my red sugar apples i like them to but gefner atemoya is way better i do have a pinks mammoth atemoya but it did not hold any of the fruit so i donnot know how they taste yet i grafted it last year its about 5 feet tall really fast grower. not sure if it is its caracteristics or the rootstocks but it likes something, soil good rootstock, good grower not sure hopefully next year i get fruit
