73.something here..

Warming up fast. 80 for the city does sound a bit high..that Mike Nicco on ch7 thinks he knows everything-i hate those types....

78F is pretty close

Seems the whole state has a fairly uniform temperature dist, even Palm Springs is coming in at 89F. SF is at 78F, Santa Cruz is at 82F, this is the most beautiful time to go to the coast.

Hay topped out at 83.3..

And I'm getting the bad feeling that might be the highest temp we get until next June. 59 for a low is another soon to be memory. If we have a frost free winter then it will be a good -not very good, year. I havent heard any long range predictions on this winter. Nothing that sounds plausibly true.
After all the freeze we had last year the toll has been no in ground plants killed and the loss of two potted plants-a Adenium i left out to December..it was just getting a gold trunk after close to ten years-aghh,and a bottle palm i left out too long also. The WFH Mango is about a foot tall.I only lost 8' of trunk!.oh boy.
And Dipsis lutescens finally gave up in late July-or early August. The freeze and a part shade area was too much. In FULL sun it can be done-i know it. But it croaked, so Jeff got it right this year!..wait till next...Bismarckia is the only one of the big three -Bottle and Fox the others- too be hardy. Darned if that gopher eaten Bizzy isnt clinging to life with one fat spear and no fronds, little root. Not holding my breath.
