unlikely to find

There's a reason why these oddball trachies are mostly confined to collector status among those dedicated few who are willing to grow them from seed and wait: they take many years just to reach a 1-gal. size, and a decade or more to get to 3-gal. size. If you can find one that size it will probably cost you well over $200. You might try one of the Hawaiian growers like Floribunda or Kapoho and see if they have any squirreled away. They might be able to size them up faster.

Trachies

I though maybe Floribunda Palms in Hawaii, have gotten some nice palms from them in the past. They do have T. geminisectus, latisectus, martianus (Khasia Hill), and wagnerianus, but all are just seedling size, except for the martianus, which is a bit larger in 4 inch, nothing in 1 gallon or above. So it looks like Steve is correct.

Though I just checked Phil Nickel palms in Shafter CA, near Bakersfield, he has great plants, good prices and they are not greenhouse pampered,Trachycarpus fortunei

Windmill Palm 0 - 5F
$6.00, 1 gal

$12.00, 5 gal

$50.00, 15 gal

Trachycarpus latisectus
Windamere Palm 0 - 5F
$10.00, 1 gal

Trachycarpus martianus
Himalayan Fan Palm 5 - 10F
$10.00, 1 gal
$15.00, 2 gal

Trachycarpus takil
Takil Fan Palm
$10.00, 1 gal

Trachycarpus wagnerianus
Stiff Leaf Windmill Palm

$35.00, 5 gal

I did see some T. martianus, I think at a Lowe's somewhere in this area, but then might have been Wagnerianus, but I don't think so, they had much smaller leaves.

If others knew where you lived, that might add in finding a private nursery, who handles such odd and other palms.

You might also see if there is a palm society in your area, they can be of great help, and one of their members might have one.

great prices

Those are great prices, David, if they still hold and if he even still has them. I noticed the price list on his website is dated 2003. A lot can change in five years.
