Hi Steve, Culebra's ready...

Hi Steve, this Culebra's rooted & ready when you are. How's the sang. f. flava looking? I tried to send you a couple of emails, but am having trouble with my Yahoo!. Hope all is well there. It's starting to get warm here in Sweet Home.

B. sanguinea

Unfortunately, John, the B. sanguinea cuttings didn't take. It was exceptionally cool here in April. I've recently learned that B. sanguinea cuttings should be taken with a heal, and I'm trying that right now. I'm also trying to air-layer a few. Do you have an email address I can contact you at?

Tricky business...

Yeah, it's tricky business with the sangs. I a friend have in WA who has been doing really well with it using a combination of sterile, humid propagator & dilute rooting hormone. There are a couple of nurseries here in Oregon that just stick them in extra-sharp draining soil & put 'em in there green house, I don't know how they do it...
So, is your cutting stock pretty well exhausted right now? I've got this Culebra rooted for you, but would gladly take unrooted cuttings. I'd probably just send them to my friend in WA, & we'd split the resulting plants.
