Wrong image

darn!, wrong image, now I cannot find the one I wanted to post. The blurry image in the foreground is the flower in question. The boy working is my middle son.

ok

But that flower isn't female, it's even gone past the make stage. Good growth on the Cherimoyas for this early in the year (for you guys). Mine are no where near that in early Summer

female flower to right

The flower closest to my thumb (regrowing it's nail) is pretty well gone. scroll over to the right and there is a blurry shot of a female flower.
I like to catch them at this stage or earlier when you have to separate the petals to expose the sticky pistils. If I wait for the flower to open far enough to expose the pistils I do not get a high percentage of fruit set.
Sorry for the confusion. I will try to take more pictures to clarify how I think about Cherimoya flowers.
