Heatwave...

Dont let things dry out now.You worked too hard to get them this far and looking good.
The live shot of the Golden Gate shows solid fog about 58f. How do they put up with that all summer?.toll booth takers must be ready to apply for hazzardous duty pay. The gloom.

something funny and true...

The eastbay parks has a website.Go to the Garin ranch page and there people write up their opinions. All nice, but one made me laugh. A young woman from Oakland wrote it's a great place to take your dog(*true-i agree)but she warned to take water with you in summer since there are trails with little shade..."And after all, it's hot as hell Hayward" she wrote..lol. All a matter of perspective.-ha.

That is funny

You guys in the bay area have mellow climate... in the 70's right now....
Modesto is in the upper 90's... edging up to 100f plus.
My low was about 67f.

Topped off at 78.

Woke up to 65. Expected big things today but the last day of sea breeze this week kicked in. It's dropped down to 74. About what the coconut gets in Bermuda in January....

whahh? 59 at pre sun up..

Yesterday's morning low of 65 felt much balmier than the 59 of now. To think, in a couple of three months 59 is hot.....

I enjoy sub 60's

Here in Modesto I think it has hit morning lows below 60f... three times in the last 2 months.... and even then it was 58f or 59f.

It makes a world of pychological difference , because most of the time it is warm at midnight here... 70f to 80f, but on the mornings where we drop below 60f... its in the 60's at midnight... I can open up all of my windows and take in the fresh cool breeze rather than run my A/C all night.

Yet on the western edge of the valley, in the delta region where Harvey lives, the Daytimes are like the rest of the valley, but nights are like the bayarea... chilly in 60's once the sun goes down.
I bet a person living in the delta could get by without A/C most of the time... even on days when the temps reach 90f!... the nights are cool enough for a light jacket.
