It's doubtful yacon will do good at lower elevations in the Philippines. I've seen yacon at the local health food store as part of another superfood fad, but it's really not a health food. It's just another root crop that happens to be good for you because veggies are good for you.
It's very easy to grow, it grows pretty much like a weed, provided you have cool nights. It needs at least 3,000 feet elevation to grow well in the tropics.

I understand that this crop should be planted on high hills at least 3000 feet, we have known that Bagiuo was the perfect place for it. actually i planted on low lands just for the sake of experimenting. Do you know exactly the market condition of yacon now a days?are they affected by economic crisis?
