Satsuma - Cracking - Need help

I have a Satsuma Tangerine Tree full of green fruit that are not yet ripe.

The average temp here lately has been about 90-95 during the day, and probably 65 in the eve.

The fruit are slowly cracking.

Any reasons why ?

Too much water ? Not enough water ?

Is cracking a sign of poor soil ? It's in a pot actually, but the tree is robust, and large, at 7 feet tall, and 5 feet wide.

Any help is appreciated.

Changes in watering

If it's hot now, you probably have beefed up the watering schedule. Cracking occurs when the fruit didn't get much water, and then there is suddenly plenty of water available.
