azarole, medlar, and others . . .
What I was going to ask though is what are other things that winter is the season to root cuttings other then figs?

Is the azarole not very good? I had read it was one of thew better haethorn type things . . .

autumn olive, dogwoods. I don't think hawthorns of any kind will root from cuttings, but they take easily to whip and tongue grafting.
