My friend in New York sent this photo of a mystery plant. The flowers are supposedly fleshy and the fruit has quite a pointy end. Any ideas, experts?

I have no idea what this is, we don't really have any participants from NY, so you might not get a whole lot of answers.

I thought, since it was a fruiting plant, that there might be some people on the board who recognized it. I suppose it will remain a mystery.
