What kind of Mandarins, and are they seeded or seedless ?

I would begin by reading basic citrus data online and in books, online is nice, normally free. Do you have local goverment Agricultural advisors who can help with fertilizer application needs, pest managements and etc.

One thing of main note, citrus and avocados and some other sub tropical plants have very specific minerial needs, and if they are not supplied in some soils, your plants will do poorly with growth and or not set fruit, or quality marketable fruit.
