thanks for posting that Joe. I first saw that tree in 1973 when it was just getting to the gutter line. Ken Gibson told me some of what he remembered of the garden's history when he was a youngster at the place. It is amazing that they were able to fend it off the roofline as Trachys are tough to coax sideways. I have seen a few failed attempts at that including my father's "Gutter Line Trachy".
