I'm not sure on Vancouver Island but Cedar Rim nursery in Langley has three of them.

Not sure what size you are looking for but I have a nice 5 gal or a good size 3 gal I would be willing to part with. I am in Victoria. You can pm me if you may be interested.

I believe they were in the $450 dollar price range. I don't usually link to my blog on here but I just took some photos a few days ago.

If you scroll down you will see some jubaea pics. I have been plant lusting after one so bad!

They certainly aren't cheap!

Lou, I like your blog. It seems like you have a lot of fun with it.

thanks Linda, thats what its really all about for me. I started it as a way of doing something creative/fun/therapeutic and so on. I had graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley last spring with a degree in English and History and have been facing the realities of not many jobs available, not being certain of where to head in terms of further education, careers etc. So I thought I would do something for me. Something fun.

Good for you Lou. Going back to school is what I've done in a somewhat similar position. It doesn't have to cost much (meaning more money for jubaeas and such :) ) if you can be a TA, do co-op, or get funding. I promise no more unsolicited suggestions. :)

Great Pictures Lou. Shame on me. I have never made it to that nursery yet. Like probably most Golf Islanders I get quickly intimidated by the Lower Mainland traffic and just want to get back as soon as I disembark from the ferry. What I will have to do is having a night in Vancouver and stretch it to two days.
Thanks for posting the pics.

Linda - don't worry, suggestions are always welcome. I am considering my options and more schooling will likely follow. Who knows, maybe one day I'll get smart and move to one of the Gulf Islands. Oh to dream! I could go for an ocean view, of course a large garden (and for the sake of this post I'd for sure have a large jubaea) ... maybe even a small hobby farm/nursery, how does that sound? I better buy a 649 ticket at the pace I'm going.

Vlad - You would probably love Cedar Rim although I've been to one epic nursery on Salt Spring last year that seemed to have all the treasures a person could want. I agree with you on the traffic. Unfortunately the Lower Mainland has become even more of a zoo over the years.
