Hi, everyone
I am new to this forum so i will begin with a quick introduction.

I recently picked up gardening as a hobby, it started by purchased a few
Japanese maple tree's but somehow i ended up with
rear and exotic fruit trees such as, Cherimoya, white sapote, Lychee, dragon fruit etc.

I stumbled across this online community weal looking for some readings on grafting white sapote. I think this scion exchange section of the forum is the greatest thing ever, with that said i will be extremely grateful if someone would supply me sapote scion wood from a fruiting tree.

I have the following trees:

-Blood Organ
-Anna Apple
-gold kist apricot
-Dragon fruit cuttings

I am also willing to purchase it, if the tree listed are not of interest.

Also i would like to know if grafting during spring is a good idea for this
plant, i have heard that sapote can be grafted during any time of the year.

Thank You in advance
Jason

Grafting during spring is the best idea.

I agree, this scion exchange section is very valuable, quite the asset.

I have access to white sapote scion wood. One variety produces large crops of not exceptionally flavored fruit with thin skins, the other produces smaller crops of lemony flavored fruit with thicker skins. I will have to wait until that one fruits again to identify it correctly though. I can also get suebelle wood.

I would try to get wood from some of the other members here though, some of the descriptions of their trees are very appealing.

Oh, and spell-check is your friend.

Thanks for the reply Oolie.
Is there a specific verity that you would recommend? I have read that suebelle is one of the more popular varieties, and also
What type of graft works best for sapote?

Thanks again
Jason

I think any graft would work.

As far as varieties are concerned, I assume that sapotes are like other fruits in that the quality of a variety varies widely depending on the climate it's grown in.
