Hmm, I'd be interested in a couple sticks of avocado scion wood, just a bit too early to graft here in Moooooodestoooo.

What is a Granada Papaya?

Jeff

Jeff,
They'll be pushing in a couple months too, remind me then. I am surprised 8 of 10 Avocado grafts I made in Dec. are green and pushing new growth! They're in a shady corner of the green house though.
A kind forum member sent me the "Granada" papaya aptly named as he brought material home from the Island of Granada. It is root bound in a 15 G after 2 years and while it started to flower, I want to forward it to someone in a hotter climate than coastal Santa Cruz. Mooooodestoo, I like that one.

Hi, I would be interested in some more avocado scions. The Bonny Doon I got from you last time is still growing, I think I have finally got grafting down. Before I was using to much para film and putting to much pressure on the graft. I saw a story about a Aravaipa avocado tree that gets huge and takes cold really well that I plan to try and get to stick out on the back of my property.
Thanks again.

Very cool. I'm glad your Avocado grafts are seeing some success. It is hit or miss for me no matter the time of year. You'll have good success grafting other fruits if your having success with Avocado.

Hi...I'd also like some Bonny Doon wood if you still have some. And if you've saved some Granada Papaya seeds, that would be nice to try to grow.

I'm down to my last grafted Bonny Doon tree and I need more growth before I can cut scions. If I stumble onto scion from the mother tree down the way I will post here.
The Granada Papaya is pictured here on the right above the Cabelluda and I have no seeds.

Hey Lorax - Do you have a grafted Hass avo tree? I could really do with a couple genuine hass scions - I'll pay for shipping, too, as I'm all the way over in the UK.
Hi! I'm Alex. An avocado and coffee enthusiast, I love to grow fruit.

Just fyi, if you're in the UK, you might be better off requesting / ordering Avocado scions from Spain, Portugal, or France. Not only will they be fresher but I think the agricultural restrictions are much less between European countries than between the U.S. and Europe.

If you just want Hass, you could order from here:
