This is my 3rd go-around at trying to get Culantro, aka Recao, aka Vietnamese Coriander, to germinate from seed. This must be the most difficult seed to germinate that I have yet encountered.
I have had to read up on exactly what they want. I had no idea it would be so difficult, and the seed company catalog certainly doesn't warn people about it.
Apparently, these things like SHADE, although they are TROPICAL, so also of course they want HEAT. Strange combination, but that's what I am trying for now. Got them in the shade in a little plastic greenhouse seedling tray with a lid that I mist with a water bottle every couple days. I actually have 3 tiny, tiny green dots coming up now, after 3 seasons of attempts.
The seed company really should have mentioned this.
