Northwest Palms

fertilize or not

Because of this winter like weather I've decided to put off fertilizing my palms until mid April, unless we get some drastic warming...any one else thinking the same ?

I was out and about in the yard. Here in Abbotsford we have had very cool night lows, every night has been around 2C but the daytime temps have for the most part been okay near my house... around 11C. I was going to hold off until april 1 i think... just a mental reassurance :P . I really dont think it would matter much though. Palms around here never stopped growing all winter long. My med. fan palm is putting out flowers and everything is quickly pushing out new growth. I dont think there is much to worry about

Already fertilized the palms and lilies.

Next I need to get some manure though. I wont do that until the nanas and cannas are safe.
