bona fide hot weather

It will be 95+ in the Portland area on
Friday...a thermal heat trough will be coming up from the southwest...and stop in portland and then move east, then on tuesday its supposed to get cool again..mid 70's on tuesday with clouds..

They are already ratcheting down the temp predictions from just a few days ago, and judging from the clouds, breeze, humidity, and mid-60s I continue to observe outside today; it is difficult for me to believe that it is going to be 97 degrees here on Saturday.
This is probably good, given that snowpack in most of the Cascades currently ranges between 140-200% of average; and much of that remains as "low elevation" snowpack.

But I think its not going to cause flooding..you might have pretty turbulent rivers going on...but we have had melting..even at the upper elevations..I just want some hotter temps...Im going to watch the news here in Portland and see what they say about the weather and temperatures for tomorrow and into the weekend..should be interesting I agree ..

These coastal river canyons can really suck the heat out of the northern Sacramento Valley when there is an off-shore flow. I just got back from Chico a few days ago, but it's even warmer here than it was there.
