Southern California

Weather is beautiful down this way and there is a street lined with T.fortunei just around the corner from our hotel. Amazing the amount of T.fortunei I have spotted down this was. Some nice ones near Hollywood as well. Several very tall ones at Disneyland at the jungle cruise that has been there for ever. Even spotted a Coco nucifera growing in a private garden, looked pretty good too. It was approx. 12- 15'ft in height. I'm amazed I haven't seen one Bismarkia. The streets all around us here are lined with mature Phoenix dactylifera and very few P.canariensis in sight. Getting my palm fix for sure, get me cranked up for Hawaii next year!. Cheers, Joe

Joe, snap a photo of the Trachy Blvd.

We should get a good picture of Trachys being used en masse to inspire a few people to emulate it in the PNW!

how about trachy forest

If only I had more space I would love a trachy forest.

Have a safe and good one down there Joe. I know the weather is great down there.

Joe

Hi Joe,

I just was down there in Southern Cal this past weekend with my wife and two girls. I met someone from SSI of all places. If that was you, I am embarrassed for not paying more attention. If not, I asked this person to say hello for me when he get's back home to SSI. Take care.

Trachy Forest

I believe it is in the Swiss-Italian lake region, probably somewhere on Lake Maggiore.

Funny, when we were at Disneyland our oldest son bumped into a gal he knew from here. Small world! Cheers, Joe
