Hardy Eucalyptus for wet soils

you might try camphora, ovata, kitsoniana, neglecta, rodwayi, aggregata, and crenulata. while they tolerate seasonally wet areas during the winter or in coolish summer areas, they may not tolerate a consistantly wet and hot humid bayou in louisiana for example (you did not indicate what your location and climate is like).

This will be planted in Ocean Park on the Long Beach peninsula. I have seen a few sightings of eucs on the peninsula already and wanted to plant something myself.

A lot of people don't realize that good old E. gunnii tolerates poorly drained soil. Also E. parvula, E. urnigera, E. subcrenulata, E. moorei, E. brookeriana, E. barberi, E. strzeleckii, and E. yarraensis can be added to your list. E. perriniana, E. cordata and E. nova-anglica are a little less tolerant but wouldn't be out of the question. For many species, windthrow may become a problem on waterlogged soils - this can be alleviated somewhat by planting in full sun with no other trees or structures for a long distance from the plants.
