Eugene Amtrak station gets cocky

"Just a few days ago" from what I heard yesterday, the Amtrak station put in six large elevated pots with decent-sized Chamaerops in them. They already had multi-trunking patterns to them. My only concern, besides the threat of that rare 7b-ish winter, is that there might not be enough room for root growth in the tall skinny containers. I hope they aren't terminally rootbound within 2 or 3 years!

Will take pictures tomorrow morning on my way to boarding, but probably won't post for a week, until I get back from my Thanksgiving visit in The Dalles. (Anyone heard anything about possible palm plantings in the East Gorge, including Hood River?)
