Frost

Last night my wife had to scrape frost 8 km south of here where she works. She left work at 11:30 pm an her car was covered in frost. Low temp. here 3.1 C. clear skies. Goes to show you how much of a temp. difference there is in a short istance on our rock. There have been a few frosts at our Parks work yard. I scraped it on my Parks truck in Oct.

many many micros

The only frost I have had were the two weird radiational freezes in october. But just four miles down the street at the farm that I help out, frost off and on several times now, even on the lower lying portions of the property.

I think what is more amazing to me are the precipitation microclimates around here and how drastically they can change with just a 30 minute drive.

Snow :(

...and it begins...We had heavy snowfall briefly last night beginning at about 10:30 pm and ending about 1am..after that skies cleared and we awoke to frozen cars/roads. Current tem at my place is 1C and it's only 3pm. rain mixed with snow right now. If the temp drops another degree, we will most definately be seeing another bout of heavy snow and wind tonight...Always hard to watch the palms sagging under the heavy white stuff.
