Slightly OT Question (Agapanthus flowering)

So I have a pretty nice sized clump of Agapanthus. It bloomed excellent 2 years ago but somewhat underachieved last year in my opinion. This year, I want to pack the house big fat clumps of purple'ish and blue flowers. So i went out and bought some flowering plant food called Colorburst. The bag doesnt offer enough detail, so my question is this; do I apply this granular fert before the flower stalks are visible or do i apply it once i see the buds? I'm hoping i apply it before i see any stalks since i want as many as possible hoping this food will do the trick.

Also, any recommendations for strawberry and raspberry fertalizers to ensure big juicy and sweet fruit?

Thanks.

Agapanthus fertilizing

You need to fertilize well in advance of bloom season for fertilizer to get more blooms. I would think that after your last frost date would be a good time to start. They also seem to bloom best once they have built up a critical mass of roots, so don't divide them unless they start to decline.

They seem so ridiculously easy to grow and bloom here in California, no fertilizer is usually necessary, but they obviously grow better with some summer irrigation here. Some forms such as A. 'Queen Anne' and 'Peter Pan' can even be found in bloom in winter here.
