Spring flowers

I do enjoy our short winters here on the north coast....

very nice

Those haven't started flowering around here yet, but crocus and forsythia is in full bloom (hey, take what you can get, eh?). The problem with those magnolias here is that sometimes we get a late freeze and it damages the petals. Probably not an issue in Eureka I'd imagine as frost in general is so rare.

Normally late March or April here

But it will be interesting to see what happens this year (beginning of March, may be?). Feels like spring already. Nice pics Matt.

def feels like spring

In addition to the temps feeling "springy", I also noticed:
- birds that appear in early spring are here already (I haven't seen them, but I have heard them)
- my lacecap hydrangea is budding out
- my mini-lilac bush is budding out
