Multi trunk Eucs?Hmmm

My wife and I saw a multi trunk Euc in town here. I am wondering if the multi trunk is specific to a cultivar or if it is just a variant within each species?

I rather like the look of the branches sweeping up from the ground like that in twos or threes.

Multiples

I hacked the top 4 feet of a Euc. debeuzevillei last year. It promptly began to send up a couple of new trunks from the base.

sometimes it just happens

It is hard to know when a euc is going to have multiple trunks. Some species are more likely to do it than others. There are some that grow many trunks by themselves (mallees) and some that will only grow a single trunk no matter how much you cut the top back.
