Merry Christmas to all. I just went out to the garden and took a few pics. of my Bananas , ginger and Brugs. You would never know it's Winter by looking at them. We are sitting at 7.5 Celsius and rain. This is the way I like to see Christmas day, nice and green and mild. Hope everyone got what they wished for. I got another Oregon Scientific Thermometer with remote sensors. It also has humidity and an atomic clock plus date. An experimental gardener Can never have enough thermometers.Cheers, Joe

Being a Christian, Christmas has special meaning to me. I hope it has special meaning to everyone else too.
It looks like we may all get a Christmas present of no serious Artic air this week. I don't think I'll have to wrap anything.

Santa gave me a wireless weather station "La Crosse Technology" brand. I hope it is good. Where do you recommmend placing the sensor?
I am on the East Coast for the holidays. It is so cold here you cannot imagine. I went from 80 degrees in Santa Barbara last week to low teens here in Virginia.
Getting ready for Christmas dinner. I hope everyone was able to give what they wanted to give for Christmas. Christmas has special meaning to me also, Jeff. Do Canadians celebrate "Boxing Day"? I don't know. Have a great holiday to everyone!

Martin, Boxing day is Dec. 26 here in Canada. We had our Turkey dinner last night. Today for lunch Turkey soup and dinner, more left over turkey with all the trimmings! Next X-mas I will ask Santa for a weather station. I was looking at one this year, but I ended up with another wireless Thermometer with remote sensor. The one you have sounds good. Does it also have the Rain guage and wind speed as well? The one I was looking at had everything on it and the price was very reasonable. Davis instruments are also nice, but they cost quite a bit more. I have a few Oregon Scientific and I've been very happy with them. Current temp. here is 8.2 Celsius and rain. Stay warm, and have a great X-mas. Cheers, Joe

Jeff - Being non-religious, Christmas still has a great meaning to me...friends, family and the spirit of giving. One can feel these things without being Christian. But thanks for letting us know you are a Christain!

I see the forcast for next week looks great. No snow and relatively mild temps. Going to make until January without frost. It will be interesting to see what January has in store for us. Hey Steve, how are things in Brookings? Cheers, Joe

What a difference a day makes! Yesterday we were enjoying mid-summer-like temperatures in Guayabitos, Mexico and today 6 degrees and rain in Vancouver.

Joe,
My "Wireless weather station" has temp and humidity. No rain guage or wind speed. Of course, in Las Vegas, I am expecting the humidity to be low. Happy Boxing Day!

I have nowhere else to ask this question. So here goes.
What is the real birth date of Jesus?
That may sound funny, but I heard it is not on Dec. 25th.
Also were suppose to have a warmer winter, and it should last till Feb.
Thanks for the answer.
Every thing in my garden is till looking great.

I can handle another mild Winter. If this weather could last until Feb. that would be great. It would be even better if it could last until the first day of Spring, then get even warmer! Cheers, Joe
