Is my Sabal texenis or texana

I ordered seeds from bananatree.com a couple years ago, called Sabal texenis. Now I'm not sure weather I got the northern growing S. mexicana, a closely related species of S.mexicana, or the hybrid species of S.minor and S.mexicana.
The seeds were giant compared to other Sabals I have grown, about the width of a penny, and dark red. On rare palm seeds web site the seeds they're selling looked smaller and darker, but theirs was specified as the cross breed. I am still looking for the hybrid type if I don't already have it. Any cheaper U.S. suppliers?

Sabal mexicana

Kyle,
It sounds like you bought the Sabal mexicana seeds. They are sometimes referred to as Sabal texana. The Sabal x texensis are what is considered to be the cross of Sabal mexicana and Sabal minor. The Sabal mexicana seed are the largest of the three with the S. minor being the smallest.
