Great Garden

Peter,

I like the plants you have, specially the Eucalyptus. How did your E. urnigera
handle last year's winter. Mine just about died. I have two and they both look pitiful. One did send up seven foot suckers from the ligotuber.

A. angustifolia

I have two in my garden planted them over 5 years ago, winter has never bothered them. Your garden looks great, love all the Eucs. Feeling like Spring today. Cheers

thanks

john- e. urnigera suffered more from the windstorm than the cold, i did not see any die back. However, the following summer during the hot spell sans H20, then newest growth from the spring seemed to suffer some, with a few new leaves dropped. Then it seemed to regain vigor late summer. I think it is doing fine.
joe- the small auracaria i bought from ian at the local horticultural society sale, looks like winter did not faze it

Great looking garden.

A lots of interesting plants. Those Eucs and Grevillea look great. Especially E. perriniana. You are lucky to have the Arbutus andrachne tree. I've never seen one for sale in BC. Heads up regarding E. dalrympleana. They get huge in good soils.

Looks like you had a great day in Bellevue. Thanks for sharing.

nice pics

Peter, nice pics, especially the Arauacaria, ha ha. Can we get a closer look at that Chrysolepis?

It looks like I'll be selling plants at the Sequim garden show March 15-16. I'll post an announcement on my web site soon.

ian

looking at the foto, I screwed up its actually not in that foto! However, its the 3rd plant from right (barely visible, with stake in front to protect it from errant soccer balls) on the bottom of the foto with e. glaucescens. I'll shoot a closer one. Although small, it actually looks vigorous, contrary to all the talk about it being difficult to establish.

chrysolepsis

its dark, so used flash. Not too impressive.

Thanks Peter

Wow, it looks like it's doing reasonably well. I should have gotten one myself... LOL.
